Ontario based collective Aeris Körper is committed to the creation, presentation and education of contemporary dance. We are interested in exploring vulnerability and the act of being present. Through our intense curiosity and hunger for intimacy we continually experiment with our work to break open the things in our lives we use to keep ourselves safe within society. This breaking open is a way to reveal and engage with our individual and collective vulnerability. Our performances provide a raw relevance and dangerously exciting experiences where audiences are drawn in, confronted and challenged.

Aeris Körper was founded in February 2014 and has taken part in Flounder Festival, Magical Evening of Dance, Burlington Culture Days, Hamilton Fringe Festival 14/15/16, Hamilton Art Crawl, Intersection Dance, Series 808 (Take Two), FRESHBLOOD, and Dance Matters, and have collaborated with The Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts, Hamilton Dance Theatre, Halton Dance Network, GirlCANCreate, BIGdancesSMALLstage, Burlington Student Theatre, Arthouse and The Whole Shebang Burlington. Aeris Körper’s biggest accomplishment to date is the 2015 production of Reflective/Vulnerable, a self produced show at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre with the support of the Ontario Arts Council.
