Deanna Jones is co-founder and Artistic Director of Suitcase in Point Theatre Company with whom she has created and performed in over 15 original plays, including Barrel Crank, the Dora award nominated Keith Richards One Woman Show and Be Wearing Wolf. Other selected acting credits include: Silly Old Men Ought Not to Fall in Love (Theatre Beyond Words), Bluenose (Carousel Players), and Trout Stanley (Essential Collective Theatre). Deanna has a B.A. in Theatre from Brock University, and has trained with One Yellow Rabbit, Philippe Gaulier, Upright Citizen’s Brigade and SITI Company. Deanna is part of FIXT Point’s ensemble for the Tale of a Town Canada and has performed in the Huntsville, St. Catharines, London ON, Nova Scotia and PEI shows. She has been a part of many film and video projects as a writer, editor and actor. With Fourgrounds Media Inc., Deanna has collaborated on Auteurs of Christmas, Everyday Football Fouls and Hotel Deux. Deanna directed Niagara Artists Centre’s STRUTT Wearable Art Runway Show in 2011-2014, working with hundreds of performers and artists from across Canada. She is a lead collaborator on In the Soil Arts Festival and contributes annually to the vision, programming and administration. Deanna is currently director of Suitcase in Point’s newest show, Life Can Be A Monster by Adam Buller and is proud to be a contributing artist for Niagara Shebang.
