Katie Ewald is a dancer based in Guelph, Ontario. She received her BFA from Concordia University and studied at P.A.R.T.S., Brussels. In 2000, she was the sole dancer nominated for The Canada Council for the Arts Fund for Future Generations Millennium Prize.
She has collaborated with choreographers Ame Henderson/Public Recordings (since 2005 – including creation and performance of the Dora Mavor Moore Award winning What We are Saying for Outstanding Ensemble and Outstanding Production), Martin Bélanger/LAPS, k.g. Guttman, Lin Snelling, Chanti Wadge, Janet Johnson/Portal Projects and worked with Daniel Léveillé Danse from 2005 to 2008, performing La Pudeur Des Iceburgs and Crepuscule Des Oceans.
She has taught workshops which investigate text, improvisation and performance across Canada including the University of Alberta, York University, and the Love-In Toronto.
Currently she is working on Capitalist Duets with Public Recordings, a non-authored experiment in dance making as well as a play by Evan Webber titled Other Jesus.
